Increasing Your Marketing Effectiveness with Office 365

This week I have been ramping on some Office 365 training, so I can effectively market it to Trillium’s customers. To get more knowledge on this new and innovative Microsoft cloud solution, I watched webinars, videos, looked at PowerPoint slides and read a ton of informational slicks. I have to say, Office 365 is quite an impressive offering, especially for small businesses because pricing is as low as $6 per user, per month.
Check out what you get for this cost:

The services included would benefit all employees of a small company, but I really want to focus on how Office 365 can prove its value to a marketing department. The two services I think are most beneficial to marketing your business with Office 365 are Lync Online and SharePoint Online.

Here’s why:

Lync Online gives you the ability to conduct online meetings with colleagues, partners and most importantly – your customers. Your Office 365 subscription provides the full feature set required to host webinars for up to 250 attendees and offers audio, video and screen sharing. So what does this mean from a marketing standpoint? With these tools, you have the ability to hold a public-facing webinar to promote your company’s offerings and/or services (a webinar is a Web-based seminar, a presentation, lecture, workshop or seminar that is transmitted over the web). Webinars have become increasingly popular and are an effective way to reach customers and prospects without geography limits. You can present your company’s offering to people all around the country or even around the world.

With your Office 365 subscription your company can create a simple public-facing website through SharePoint Online. This gives you the ability to easily design a professional looking website to market your business. Company websites are now expected, and it is the norm for people to first check your website before doing business with you. Therefore an appealing, user-friendly website is extremely important. SharePoint Online offers a very low-cost method of promoting your business. By advertising your website, in addition to your product or services, you give potential customers the opportunity to learn far more about your product or services than you could ever place in an ad.
